While working in development for production companies, I was responsible for producing sizzle reels — aka trailers for potential television & digital series. From the treetops in Kentucky to salvage yards in Minnesota, I learned how to find and develop stories anywhere for any network. how to tell stories quickly, efficiently, while preserving their characters’ voices and creative vision.
Producing sizzle reels taught me to be nimble in the field and post, as it was often just myself and a bare-bones crew, how to tell stories quickly & efficiently without losing creative vision, and how to lead with grace and compassion, as it was often the subject’s very first time on camera.
I have a high success rate in network commission and/or continued development deal with numerous networks including: Animal Planet, Food Network, HGTV, History Channel, and more. I keep in touch with many of the subjects. Below are a few of my favorites:
